CAN I LIVE is a group of three Vancouver DJs—Simoniz, Sir Prancelot and Bernie Lomax. Born in the basements and living rooms of raging house parties, CAN I LIVE formed like Voltron in 2013 to bring a missing vibe to Vancouver’s underground party scene.

Playing an irresistible blend of house, rap, and party music from every era, CAN I LIVE found early success in their DIY approach to parties. They packed the back rooms of art galleries, went HAM in former funeral parlours, and winked at civic law at daytime parties in public parks—all for the joy of dancing and celebration.

Their parties—never the same twice, but always guaranteed to make you sweat—got the trio noticed by local promoters, who quickly scooped them for gigs at venues across Vancouver. In 2014 they partnered with Vancouver’s Blondtron and Ponyboy (host of the epic Man-Up Drag Show) to launch BOOTYBURG, a gender-free genre blender monthly party for every booty and body. The following year they came aboard as co-hosts of NITE*MOVES (every Saturday at the Biltmore Cabaret), a night famous for it’s insane good vibes and incredible local and international guests.

In their relatively short career, CAN I LIVE have played with legends and up-and-comers across many dance music genres and sub-genres:
